LOCATION: IrelandJOB PURPOSE: Responsible for the supervision of the production process and meet the highest standards attainable.
REPORT TO: Production Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Hands on production role with excellent knowledge of all aspects of stock production.
- Day to day supervision of production process, ensuring all KPI’s are followed and the highest standards in food manufacturing and safety are observed.
- Co – ordinate and operate the production lines in terms of people, product, and equipment and maintain all associated paperwork.
- Assist Production Manager in all aspects of people management of the production area.
- Daily reporting to the Production Manager of all aspects of production.
- Assisting in the planning process, and ordering of raw materials to match the proposed plan.
- Ensure that factory inventory is maintained correctly
- Responsible for maintaining all yields and improving them where possible.
- Key involvement in record keeping for all the production and completion of associated paperwork to ensure that both internal and external quality systems are adhered to.
- Accurately record weekly and monthly yields. Track and document supplier yields and line efficiencies.
- Facilitate the Production Manager in the effective implementation of identified continuous improvement initiatives within the process.
- Assist with setting time and motion guidelines for all new products.
- Plan and maintain running costs within budget.
- Maintain constant adherence to all company, customer and legal requirements regarding food safety and quality assurance.
- Participate in manufacturing/operations meetings regarding product quality and processes.
- Ensure that the highest levels of Service, Quality and Workmanship are maintained at all times.
- Assist the Manager in driving adherence to all HACCP systems and good GMP.
- Assist Production Manager in driving a culture of excellent adherence to Health & Safety by all employees through the maintenance of a safe working environment.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 4 – 6 years in a similar position in an industry with high volume product throughput.
FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Third level education is desirable.
