stajove germanyFor many years this program has helped hundreds of students to improve their agricultural skills at placements in all fields of agriculture and all climate zones in Germany. Trainees and interns learn practical agricultural techniques on farms in Germany., while experiencing life in a different culture. Our goal is to teach young men and women skills that allow them to help increase the quantity and quality of food and fiber produced around the world. We partner with a wide variety of farms, including swine, dairy, cattle, grain, ornamental horticulture, vegetables and greenhouses. We work with farms across Germany, providing a range of learning experiences.

Benefits: In addition to practical training and experience on a German farm and immersion in German culture, you will receive free housing with utilities, free meals and a minimum monthly stipend of EUR 680.

Because of visa restrictions, our programs are for up to one year. Most programs are for 6 months, but some are for full year. You will travel with ‘Internship Approval’ issued by the German Federal Employment Agency ZAV (Zentralstelle für Arbeitsvermittlung) which will help you obtain your visa at the German Embassy in your country.

Requirements:

  • All applicants must be studying Agriculture, horticulture or related subjects
  • All applicants must have finished at least 4 semesters at the time of application
  • All applicants must be full-time students
  • All applicants must speak good English

Application and selection procedure:

The entire application, placement and visa process may take from two weeks to six months or longer. Normally after your internship is confirmed it will take 2-3 months to process the Approval and receive your visa. Placements are very competitive. We act quickly to prepare documents, but delays may occur while matching you with a host, getting the Approval or scheduling the interview at the Embassy.

First you must do is prepare and e-mail the application documents. A complete application must include the following:

  • CV – Because placements are very competitive, you should provide as much information as possible and be specific about the type of placement you are seeking
  • A copy of the identity page of your passport
  • Certificate of enrolment /we will give you the template/

We accept applications and make placements year round. Upon receipt of your complete application, we immediately seek to match you with possible host farms and sends a copy of your application to each prospective host. Hosts have the final say as to whether or not to accept you.

When we receive your complete application, we will call you on Skype to discuss the placement you are seeking for and make sure that your internship is of best benefit to you and your host. Then we will match you with a suitable host and send a copy of your application to the host for review. As soon as a host selects you we will schedule a Skype or phone conversation between you and him so that you both can discuss the terms and conditions of your internship and make sure you are aware and happy with them.

After this we will process and send you the “Internship Approval” and you can schedule your interview with the Embassy.

Please DO NOT PAY for your travel without confirming your arrival date with us or your host.
