Purpose of the Job

  • To plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure that goals and objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and set budget through supervising the different functions of the project.

Principal Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Manage the assigned project to achieve its objectives through exceptional management techniques and tools that will ensure the project is accomplished within set time frame and budget.
  • Reviews final project proposal to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
  • Develops the project definition and the scope of work, timeline and budget, forms the project team and defines all goals and any materials, tasks and resources that will be needed to complete the project delivery.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel, manages and tracks all materials and resources involved in the project execution to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Leads and supports the project team all the way until the project is successfully finished and delivered to the client.
  • Supervise the execution of the project based on the set project plan, while ensure adherence to technical, budgetary, quality and safety requirements.
  • Prepares project reports for management, client, or others to keep them or anyone who holds a stake in the completion of the project informed.
  • Reviews the management process after the project is over in order to identify any steps in the process that can be improved upon for the next project.
  • Solve any problem or issue that might arise with the client through the execution of the project.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and promote safe work practices.
  • Provides effective leadership of his staff to facilitate their growth and increased knowledge of the project, including evaluating and managing their performance.
  • Performs all other duties as may be directed by the Senior Contracting Manager from time to time.

Note: The principal accountabilities listed above are an illustrative list and not an exhaustive list. Additional duties / responsibilities may be added from time to time by the Management depending on organisational requirements.

Qualifications/ Experience

Education

  • A Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or any other engineering degree is a must. A Project Management Certificate (PMP) is a must. Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or any other engineering degree or Engineering Management from a leading university is preferred.

Experience

  • Project Manager: Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience in managing large scale contracting projects that includes civil, electrical and mechanical works, preferably conducted in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
  • Senior Project Manager: More than 15 years of professional experience in managing large scale contracting projects that includes civil, electrical and mechanical works, preferably conducted in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
